2019 - New Year New Van!

It seems like forever since I last wrote on the Blog.   I think we did do one little trip in October but can't remember where we went - obviously not that memorable....

Anyway, we were due to go away at the beginning of March but ho hum some delightful little *'?*?)_£ broke into our Billie whilst in storage.  Billie was one of 28 caravans and motorhomes broken into, very little was stolen (we can't find our boom bar and some screwdrivers) but they let off fire extinguishers in most of the vans and damaged doors when they jemmied the doors open; but the feeling of being violated was just awful.  I'm sure anyone who has ever been broken into knows exactly how we feel.   Sadly, we came to the conclusion that Billie had to go, it just wasn't the same.

Within a week we'd found our ideal replacement, can you believe we found her at the same dealers we bought Dee Dee from????   So a big warm welcome for Daisy!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, how excited were we?????     New lock for the door, new fire and carbon monoxide alarms, new mugs and yes....  eek!  new bedding!!!!!!!!!   We didn't need to replace the fire extinguisher because we had two and a fire blanket.   First weekend booked, just up the road to Alderstead Heath where Spring was in full bloom.

Thank goodness the weather changed during the week.  Last weekend it was pouring with rain and really really windy.   Bit overcast and of course, sunny on Sunday but we were just so happy sitting in our new van.   We used the shower, we used the microwave, we played the radio - just because we could!  We foresee happy times ahead.........
