We've been to East Horsley https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/campsites/uk/surrey/easthorsley/horsley a few times before and each time we go we come away feeling relaxed and happy; this time we weren't disappointed. Once again the weather has been glorious - we have been incredibly lucky this year.
Billie has a new sun awning, we didn't think we'd be using it until next season but the weather was so warm and sunny that we needed a little shade from time to time. We even had breakfast outside!
One of the lovely things about East Horsley is the beautiful pond and of course, the ducks, moorhens and even resident (and very greedy) Heron! Each evening the ducks waddle off to spend the night in the field but not before stopping off for yet more food - they really do have to be the fattest ducks for miles!
Despite 2 power cuts, a neighbouring noisy party and a child with the noisiest bounciest ball - yeah yeah yeah we're just getting old - it was a fabulous weekend, and such a pleasure to be able to sit at the end of September eating ice-cream by the pond.
